Behavioral Health Services North: Healthy Families New York- Franklin and Clinton Counties

ABOUT

Behavioral Health Services North, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization and a regional leader in the provision of health services, including behavioral health, in the northernmost area of NY State.

The Healthy Families program is a home visiting program that supports new parents right from the start. Anyone expecting a child (pregnant) or caring for a new born under three months of age can be referred to these services. These visits enhance and promote healthy, happy, and safe parent child interaction. Using a research-based curriculum and a strength-based approach, the program supports the families for up to three to five years. Parenting education is just one of the areas Healthy Families cover with families participating in the program. The program is free and voluntary and there is not income eligibility.

Serving: Clinton County, Franklin County and Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
